Status Keeper Privacy Policy
App: Status Keeper
Developer: BeasonsApp
Effective date: October 3, 2026
Privacy contact: applogcat@gmail.com
Status Keeper is an independent local status media utility and is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta. This policy explains the current initial release, which is free of charge and has no ads or in-app purchases. Section 5.2 also describes planned later versions supported by advertising; those advertising features are not active now.
1. Folder access and local media
The app reads photos, videos and their file names, sizes and modification times only from folders you authorize through Android's system picker. This access supports thumbnails, previews, saved copies, detection of new items and optional automatic saving. The app does not request WhatsApp credentials, read your contact list or fetch statuses from WhatsApp servers that are not already on your phone.
If you choose an external or cloud file provider, its own network and data processing are governed by that provider’s privacy policy; media copies made by Status Keeper remain on your device, and the app does not itself upload them.
The app processes media and saves copies on your device. The app does not upload source media, chat input or device identifiers to the developer's server; the developer does not operate a server that receives this data. The app may create thumbnails and temporary media copies in its private cache for playback and sharing.
2. Settings and saved copies
The app stores language, folder access, automatic saving, notification and repeat-playback preferences on your phone, together with file markers used to avoid duplicate saving and detect new content. Saved media copies are placed in the public Download/StatusKeeper folder. Deleting an item in Saved removes only the copy created by this app, without deleting the source file.
Copies in the public Downloads folder may remain after the app is uninstalled. You can delete them in the app or a file manager. You can also turn off automatic saving and notifications, disconnect source folders in the app, manage Android permissions, or clear cache and app data.
3. Sharing, Direct Chat and other apps
Media is passed to a receiving app only when you choose to share or repost it. Direct Chat uses the number and optional message you enter to open a WhatsApp conversation, where you confirm the send; Status Keeper does not automatically send messages or request access to your contact list. Receiving apps may process content you choose to send through their own services, under their own privacy policies.
Choosing the contact feature opens your email app and you decide whether to send an email. If you contact the developer by email, the developer receives the address and content you send and uses them only to respond to your support or privacy request. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information.
3.1 Google Play ratings (in versions offering this feature)
Google Play handles ratings. You may voluntarily submit stars and a written review or skip the request. Reviews for a public release may be public and linked to your Google Account; closed-test feedback follows Google Play's testing rules. The review flow does not let this app read whether you rated it, your stars or review text. Days of use, successful-save counts and request times used to limit prompts are stored only on your device, are not uploaded to the developer, and can be removed by clearing app data. Google Account and Google Play terms and the Google Privacy Policy apply to Google's processing. You can edit or delete your review in Google Play. This feature does not enable ads, purchases or analytics.
4. Notifications and background checks
If you enable notifications, the app requests Android notification permission. If you enable notifications or automatic saving, the app uses Android background tasks to check authorized folders. Android controls execution timing. You can turn these features off or revoke folder access at any time.
In versions offering usage reminders, their separate switch is off by default. If enabled, the app may show rotating local reminders after you have not opened it for at least 24 hours, at most once per 24 hours. A reminder does not mean that new statuses were found. The last-open time, last-reminder time and message rotation index stay on your device, are not uploaded to the developer and do not use a push server. Android controls execution timing; delivery at an exact time is not guaranteed. You can disable usage reminders or notification permission at any time, and clearing app data removes these records.
5. Ads, purchases and analytics
5.1 Current initial release
The initial release does not display ads, offer in-app purchases, trials or subscriptions, or use analytics SDKs for analytics or advertising tracking. The app has no purchase verification service, does not require an account and does not collect payment information. Third-party apps you choose to open for sharing, chat or email still process data under their own service rules.
5.2 Planned versions supported by advertising (not active now)
Later versions may use third-party ads to support free access. If Google AdMob is used, its SDK may transmit IP addresses that may indicate approximate location, ad or device identifiers, usage events and performance or diagnostic information to Google and advertising partners disclosed in the actual configuration. Possible purposes include serving and measuring ads, service analysis, abuse prevention and reliability; personalisation would depend on applicable rules and valid consent. The actual practices depend on the SDK, device, configuration and user choices at that time.
We will not supply source photos, videos, chat numbers or message drafts to advertising services for advertising purposes. Ad service networking is separate from local media management. See the Google Privacy Policy and Google's explanation of data use on partner sites and apps for its processing and privacy controls. Any additional advertising provider will be disclosed before use.
An advertising version will follow applicable requirements and consent status when deciding whether to request ads, present consent messages where required, and provide a way to reopen privacy choices. You may manage choices or withdraw consent through that entry point. Declining or withdrawing personalised-ad consent does not necessarily remove every ad or stop every advertising-related data operation; non-personalised or limited ads must still meet applicable requirements. Changing advertising privacy choices is not the same as submitting a deletion request; you may still request deletion under the provider's policy. Use its published channels for retention or deletion requests, or contact our support to identify the services used.
These planned disclosures neither activate ads in the current version nor constitute your consent. Before releasing an advertising version, we will update this policy, in-app disclosures and Google Play declarations for the actual providers, SDKs and settings, and implement the corresponding privacy-choice flow.
6. Retention and deletion
You control the retention and deletion of local media. Private settings and cache can be cleared through Android's app data controls. Uninstalling the app does not guarantee that media copies in the public Downloads folder are removed; delete them through a file manager as needed. The app does not offer accounts, so there is no Status Keeper account data to close.
Email requests are retained in the developer's email service to respond to your issue and support follow-up troubleshooting. You can request deletion of support email records you provided by contacting applogcat@gmail.com, except for records that must legally be retained. Data processed by other apps is retained under the relevant provider's policy.
7. Audience and policy updates
The app is intended for people aged 18 and above and does not target minors. If features or data practices change, the developer will update this policy's effective date and relevant disclosures and keep the in-app policy and Google Play Data safety declaration consistent.
